Roma temporarily tries to silence the criticism and regains victory in the championship by narrowly beating Torino. At the Olimpico it ended 1-0 thanks to Dybala’s flash in the 20th minute, chosen by ‘falso novè’ after Dovbyk’s last-minute withdrawal. The former Juric’s team, which hadn’t won for over a month, thus rises to 13 points, moving to -1 from Vanoli’s granata, who find themselves a knockout after the home success against Como.
The Giallorossi’s start was much better as they began to bring pressure to the Granata’s half of the pitch, then found the advantage in the 20th minute thanks to Dybala: the Argentine took advantage of an error by Linetty and, after having missed Milinkovic on the way out, directed it into the net the 1-0 (Masina’s save attempt was in vain). The Romans controlled the match quite easily, but once half an hour had passed the guests tried to stick their noses out and scared Svilar with a header from Maripan, which was however blocked by the Serbian goalkeeper. At the start of the second half Roma came close to doubling their lead by hitting the post with Pisilli, but any goal from the young Roman would have been made in vain by an offside by Angelino at the start of the action. A few moments later, however, Milinkovic was forced to intervene on Le Fee’s attempt, while on the opposite side Svilar dived to the right foot of the newly introduced Njie. Not much happens in the remaining time, the guests show a timid pressure towards the end but the result doesn’t change.

Lazio wins 5-1 in Como and moves to third place in the standings, equal to Atalanta and Fiorentina, while Juventus drops to sixth place. Game full of emotions at Sinigaglia, broken by the guests with goals from Castellanos, on a penalty, and Pedro. The absences of Sergi Roberto and Perrone weighed heavily on Como and after a colorless first half they reacted at the start of the second half with a splendid overhead kick goal from Mazzitelli. The match heats up, the hosts waste and the guests don’t forgive: Patric, a brace from Castellanos and Tchaouna complete the scoreboard. Too harsh a result for Como, suffering its second consecutive defeat. The episode that changes a good but blocked match arrives just after the halfway point of the first half: following a prolonged action by Lazio, Castellanos heads the ball back into the middle, Alberto Dossena extends his arm and the referee Luca Pairetto, called back by VAR, awards the penalty kick for the Biancocelesti. From the spot in the 28th minute Castellanos displaces Audero. It’s the jolt Lazio needed, who found confidence and doubled their lead after just two minutes: Nuno Tavares on the left fed Pedro, who shot to the near post where he beat Audero, who wasn’t perfect on the occasion. During the interval Fabregas tried to tactically change his Como team, timidly dangerous only towards the end of the first half, inserting Da Cunha in place of Fadera. And the match actually reopened at the beginning of the second half, with a splendid overhead kick goal from Mazzitelli, who in the penalty area blocked it with his chest and acrobatically found the perfect trajectory to go over Provedel. It’s a completely different Como in the second half, but in their best moment the Como players are left with ten men in the 62nd minute due to Braunöder’s expulsion. Numerical superiority could be the perfect opportunity for Lazio to win the match, but after just three minutes they in turn found themselves playing with the man less due to the red card given to Nuno Tavares. The match heats up, Como finally tries to react, but Lazio is still ahead with just under twenty minutes to go, with Patric who heads a corner kick which is perfectly executed by Baroni’s team. Como twice wastes the goal that would have reopened the match and Lazio does not forgive: Castellanos freezes the match in the 81st minute by scoring his brace, Tchaouna scores the 5-1 in injury time and puts the final end to a match full of emotions that reward Lazio’s greater clarity in key moments of the match.
