On the occasion of the Air Show Messina 2025, scheduled for Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 August, in the coastal stretch between the Pace and Fiumara Guardia stream, the Municipality of Messina ordered a series of extraordinary measures to guarantee the safety, roads and full use of the show by citizens and visitors.
Roads and parking
From 7.00 to 20.00, on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3, the stop will be prohibited on both sides of the Consular Via Pompea between stream and Fiumara Guardia, including the parking areas on the sea side and the coplanar between the Trocadero area – Church of Grotte. Also in both days, from 13.00 to 20.00, vehicular transit will be banned in the stretch between the Pace and Fiumara Guardia stream.
Performance of the tricolor arrows
The awaited performance of the national acrobatic patrol – Frecce Tricolori will be held on Sunday 3 August starting at 15.00 and end at 18.45. The acrobatic flight is expected from 18.15 to 18.40.
Atm Spa will strengthen the service of all urban lines in order to encourage the use of public transport, the use of which is strongly recommended to avoid congestion and inconvenience. For the occasion, in addition to the usual parking spaces located in the south area, in the Zir, in the center and in the north area, the parking lots of the “Franco Scoglio” stadium will also be available, from which a special shuttle service will be activated that will lead users to via Adolfo Celi (ex SS 114), allowing the exchange with ordinary urban lines.
Overview and observation areas
The panoramic road of the Strait will remain the only artery that can be traveled during the event of August 3: it is invited not to stop or create assembly along this street, despite being a privileged observation point. It is also recommended not to crowd the area near the church of Grotte, identified by the Air Force as a maneuver area, remembering that coastal conformation allows an optimal view of the show from different points of the city.
