It is 8.57 on 7 June when the president of the Sicilian Regional Assembly, Gaetano Galvagno, is presented at the Palazzo di Giustizia for the interrogation requested personally as part of the investigation for corruption, embezzlement and abuse of office that shaken the Sicilian parliament. To await him, the prosecutor Maurizio De Lucia and the public ministries Andrea Fusco and Felice De Benedittis, owners of the investigation that revolves around the management of public funds intended for foundations and companies attributable to people close to him.
Galvagno enters accompanied by his lawyer, Antonia Lo Presti, but the report returns the image of a face to face with the magistrates in which, for almost three hours, the president of the Ars alternates responses articulated to omissions, distinction, prudent formulas and repeated postponements: “I reserve the right to talk about it in another location”.
