Messinaservizi Bene Comune informs that, starting from midnight on Monday 4 August, disinfestation activities will continue on the city territory with further interventions aimed at combating the Tiger mosquito taking into account the surveys provided by the University of Messina, which have highlighted an increase in the activity of the vector insect in the affected areas.
The interventions will last for six consecutive days starting from midnight on August 4, involving all areas of the city. The operations will always begin at midnight according to a calendar divided by territorial areas.
The calendar and areas of intervention
The first intervention, scheduled for the night of August 4, will concern the center area, with actions in the new neighborhoods of the Moselle, in the area that includes the Duomo, station, university and theater, up to the quadrilateral between the Fountain of Nettuno and Viale Carostra.
On the night of August 5, it will always continue in the center area, touching Cortina del Porto and Villa Thalatta, via Garibaldi and the square between Viale Boccetta, via Palermo, via Garibaldi and viale Regina Margherita. On the same night we will also intervene in the north area, along Viale della Libertà and in the square side of the sea of Piazza Castronovo.
The third intervention, scheduled for the night of August 6, will affect the center area, with activities in the districts Railors, provincial, Rione Cannamele, Lombard district, Cataracts, and still in the CGIL square, botanical garden, Tommaso Cannizzaro Alta, up to Gravitelli, the public housing, via Padre Nino Found and via Pietra Santa.
Following, on the night of August 7, in the North Area, we will intervene in Massa Santa Lucia, Castanea Cemetero, Salice, Gesso Estena and Gesso Locanda, Ortoliuizzo (SS113), Rodia (SS113), San Saba (SS113 and purifying area), Spartà, Casabianca, Timpazzi, Mortelle (SS113) and Torre Faro (via del Pozzo).
The fifth day, starting from midnight on August 8, the activities will focus in the south area, in Santa Margherita (via Comunale), Sant’Stefano Briga (start area), Milo San Marco, Tremestieri, Larnderia Inferiore, Pistunina, Bordonaro Gialle Case and Santo Village.
Finally, the sixth and last intervention of this cycle is scheduled for midnight on August 9 in the north area, with disinfestation in Faro Superiore, via Lago Grande, Torre della Pace and Ganzirri.
