The mission, carried out by a crew of the 46th aerial brigade of Pisa with an aircraft C-130J, which brought from Lamezia Terme to Bologna a 26-year-old man in imminent danger of life, ended around two in the morning.

The flight, requested by the Prefecture of Catanzaro and authorized by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, has been arranged and coordinated quickly by the Sala Storage Room of the Command of the Air Team – First Aerial Region of Milan. The C-130J of the 46th aerial brigade of Pisa has therefore made it possible to embark on an ambulance, with the patient and the medical team on board, and to quickly transport it from the hospital “Renato Dulbecco” of Catanzaro to the “Sant’Orsola” Polyclinic in Bologna. The flight took off from Pisa airport and headed towards Lamezia Terme airport, where he boarded the vehicle used for emergency health transport. After landing at Bologna airport, the ambulance continued the journey to the destination hospital, so that the patient could receive the specialist treatments of the case.
