Return of summer for Luca Cordero di Montezemolo to the Aeolian Islands. The entrepreneur and historical face of Made in Italy has thrown the anchor of his yacht in the waters of Vulcano, where an exclusive stop for a “The King of Fish” dinner was allowed, the famous fish restaurant that has now become a must for the VIPs who attend the archipelago during the summer.
Welcomed by the owner Gianluca Fusco, Montezemolo told with a pinch of nostalgia that was missing from Vulcano since his great friendship with Mike Bongiorno, who owned a splendid villa on the island of sludge until the early 1980s. “Returning here – he confided – is like reopening a drawer of memories”. An emotional bond that adds further value to this summer visit.
After the stop in Vulcano, the Aeolian tour of Montezemolo continues towards Filicudi and Salina, two Aeolian pearls much loved by travelers in search of authenticity and discreet charm.
Montezemolo was a central figure of Italian entrepreneurship from the 80s onwards, he was president of Ferrari (leading her to new sports and commercial glories), president of Confindustria, Fiat and Alitalia. Visionary and refined ambassador of Italian excellence, today it is active in the sector of sustainable mobility and continues to be a point of reference for projects related to the innovation and development of the country. Even in his moments of relaxation, Montezemolo does not renounce elegance and taste: his presence in the Aeolian ages, between personal history and Mediterranean flavors, confirms the timeless charm of the archipelago and his ability to attract protagonists of yesterday and today.
