An intense prevention activity has characterized the month of July throughout the province of Vibo Valentia. Numerous preventive measures against subjects deemed socially dangerous have been adopted on the impulse of the commissioner Rodolfo Rodolfo Rodolfo Rodperti, and thanks to the action of the anti -crime division of the Police Headquarters. The goal: prevent, with preventive tools, the commission of new crimes and guarantee greater safety in the area.
In detail, during the last month they have been issued:
5 measures by Daspo “Out of context”, applied to subjects sentenced with a final sentence for serious crimes: drug dealing, abusive port of weapons, crimes against the person, against heritage and against the public administration.
3 Return prohibitions, including two towards subjects already known to the police, removed from the Municipality of Tropea for three years. Both with the precedents for theft and drugs, they had recently been arrested for a theft in competition. The third provision hit a man removed for three years by Vibo Valentia: already warned in the past, he had violated an ordinance of the judge who imposed on him the ban on approaching the victim of persecutory acts.
7 Sports Daspo, issued against as many subjects involved in episodes of violence linked to football events.
12 oral notices, one of which in aggravated form, aimed at subjects deemed dangerous. In particular, a man condemned for aggravated extortion and already recipient of previous measures, was surprised at the helm of a car stolen after a 45 kilometer chase ended with the arrest. The man, stopped by the Soverato traffic police, had put the safety of motorists and agents at risk.
2 warnings for persecutory acts and domestic violence: one against a man who would have kept vexatious conduct towards his brother, the other for aggressive behavior against the former partner.
In addition, a proposal was presented to the Court of Catanzaro for the application of the special public security surveillance against an already recipient of oral notice and Daspo. The man, linked to contexts of common crime and with a definitive sentence for crimes against life, was recently reported by the mobile team for illegal possession of explosives and receiving stolen goods.
