The Crotone Coast Guard was the protagonist, yesterday, of a series of interventions that avoided serious consequences for people and the environment.
In the morning, two patrol boats came near Torre Vecchia, in Isola di Capo Rizzuto, for a pleasure boating about to sink with four people on board. Everyone was rescued and the boat recovered without damage to the ecosystem.
In the afternoon, two more rescue in Capo Colonna: the first for a vesting vessel, the second for a semi -effective boat. In both cases, the crews were rescued and the units made safe.
To close the day, the recovery of a marine turtle Caretta Caretta in swimming difficulty, entrusted to the care of the WWF Crotone. An operation that avoided the worst, given the conditions of the animal and the intense nautical traffic in the area.
