In the headquarters of the Calabrian Democratic Party, in Lamezia Terme began the meeting of the center -left enlarged to reach the definition of the program and the candidate for the presidency which will have to confront Roberto Occhiuto at the regional elections of 5 and 6 October next. A meeting that may not be decisive, even if the center -left must tighten the times after Roberto Occhiuto’s resignation led to elections in a half month.
In Lamezia there are, among others, the parliamentarian and regional secretary of the Democratic Party Nicola Irto, the regional councilor Raffaele Mammoliti and Nicola Stumpto, also parliamentary parliamentary of the Democratic Party, the M5S deputy Anna Laura Orrico, regional coordinator of the movement, and the group leader in the regional council Davide Tavernise, Fernando Pignataro of Avs, Giuseppe Campana, of Europe-Verdi/Avs.
Also present were the representatives of the new reformist area born on the initiative of the mayor of Rende Sandro Principe to which PSI, Italy Viva, action, Republican Party, +Europe, reformist socialists and the province of Cosenza, federated noon and civic movements have joined. In addition to Prince, the socialist Luigi Incarnato, the regional secretary of action Francesco De Nisi and the mayor of Cetraro Giuseppe Aieta participate in the meeting.
