The new inaugurated Piazza Milano, completely redeveloped thanks to an urban regeneration intervention that returns to the neighborhood and the city a place dedicated to relaxation, leisure and sports activities.

The mayor took part in the ceremony Giuseppe Falcomatà, the deputy mayor Paolo Brunetti, the commissioner Massimiliano Merenda, members of the city council, councilors and technicians in the public works sector. The intervention, financed with European funds within the PNRR for an amount of 990 thousand euros, has affected sidewalks, flower beds, lighting, new trees, benches, a children’s playground, an inclusive fitness area, a luggage area for dogs and a skateboard track – the third in the city after those of the South and Longhi Bovetto linear park.

“Piazza Milano can now really be called square – said Mayor Falcomatà – After years of neglect it becomes a place of aggregation and free time. Here the citizens will find an outdoor gym, a green area with 24 new trees, lighting, video surveillance and a skatepark track. It is a piece of the polycentric city project that embraces all neighborhoods ».

Satisfaction also by the Councilor Merenda, who underlined how “normality, that is to return public spaces with attention to and usable, is a right for citizens”, and the deputy mayor Brunetti, who spoke of “umpteenth intervention completed to unite center and suburbs, creating places open to young, elderly and sports”.
