Donald Trump “With me” has always been “kind” and “cordial”: “I have never seen him in an inappropriate context. The president has never been inappropriate with anyone. The times I have been to him, he behaved like a gentleman ». These are the words of Ghislaine Maxwell, the British socialite accomplice of Jeffrey Epstein who is serving a sentence of 20 years in prison.

During his talks with Todd Blanche – the deputy minister of justice and the former personal lawyer of Trump -, Maxwell provided his version of the facts. According to the transcriptions and audio released by the Department of Justice, last 24 and 25 July Maxwell said that there is no customer list of Epstein and that the former financier, in his opinion, did not died suicide in prison.

Many congratulations to the President: «I admire his extraordinary success in having become president. I like it and I always liked it, “he said. With Epstein, Trump had a “friendly relationship, as in social contexts”. While not remembering many elements – including the book of dedications for the 50th anniversary of the former financial -, the Socialite has also been questioned about its relations with the former president Bill Clinton. “He appreciated me a lot and we got along very well,” he reported, however, that he has ever received massage in his presence and that he has ever visited Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean. “They spent time together by plane” but Clinton was never “absolutely” on the island of Epstein, explained by highlighting Clinton was his friend, “not a friend” of the financier.

The dissemination of the interview’s transcriptions and audio, accompanied by the delivery of some documents on the Epstein case to the Chamber’s surveillance commission, arouses many doubts. In the sights of critics there is the fact that the interview was conducted by Trump’s former personal legal lawyer without the presence of FBI agents and that socialite answered the questions asked as much as possible for the president. Although the audio clearly emerges that the interview is not an agreement or commitment from the Department of Justice in favor of Maxwell, the socialite immediately afterwards was transferred to a prison of minimal security, which is usually not reserved for those who are accused of pedophilia. The White House has wondered for weeks about the possible publication of the interview. Many within the Administration were against, but in the end those convinced those convinced that the government should show themselves more proactive on the Epstein case and take control of the narrative after the tensions exploded in the sorceress world. And Maxwell’s interview – according to critics – allows the administration to ride a fiction in favor of Trump.
