The fight against the environment endangered by criminal hands. A disturbing and cowardly gesture perpetrated in the past few hours. Unknown people set fire on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday to one of the six Pulisci-Mare Boat moored in the port of Amantea with which the Region collects waste mainly in the Tyrrhenian Sea. The boat is part of the regional fleet committed daily along the coasts of the Cosenza coast. The news was given the resigning president of the Roberto Occhiuto region. In expressing solidarity with all the staff who are committed to the protection of the environment daily, which represents one of the most strategic assets of Calabria, he underlined: «I hope that the police can be shedding as soon as possible on this vile episode, ensuring the authors of such a cowardly and intimidating gesture. Those who have committed it know that the Region will not argue even a millimeter in the contrast to any form of crime that produces serious damage to our communities and our environment ».
