In Mesoraca, the carabinieri of the local station – supported by colleagues from the Operational Unit and Radiomobile of the Compagnia di Petilia Policastro and by a crew of the 8th Core Elicopteri di Vibo Valentia – have completed a targeted activity to combat crimes in the field of narcotic substances.
The military identified, in Sant’Angelo, a cultivation of Indian hemp totally concealed between the vegetation. In the ground, located in an impervious area, there were a total of 80 cannabis plants, subsequently eradicated and placed under seizure.
The seizure could have allowed the production of several tens of kilograms of marijuana, equal to over 50,000 doses to be entered on the illicit market for an estimated value of over 200,000 euros.
