The AIA section of Cosenza will inaugurate the new 11 -a -side football referees in the last week of September and 5 -a -side football, a free training and sporting opportunity open to girls and boys aged 14 to 40. The course, held by Alessandro Russo and Pierfrancesco Bracket of the Calabria Referee Regional Committee, will take place at the San Vito-Marulla Stadium and will last about a month.

Becoming a referee means living football as a protagonist, with immediate and concrete advantages: reimbursement of expenses for each direct race, federal card to enter free in all stadiums in national competitions, official technical material, school training credits and PCto, dedicated training pole and the possibility of the double referee-caveness membership, which allows the youngest (up to 19 years) to continue the activity as a footballer and start parallel. Furthermore, thanks to international collaborations, there is no lack of opportunities for “arbitration Erasmus”, abroad experiences that enrich the training course.

“Our goal is to train young prepared and aware referees, capable of dealing with the challenges inside and off the pitch. This course is not only a sporting opportunity, but a life experience that forge character and useful skills in every area”, declares the Sectional President Carlo Gervasi (in the photo, together with the regional staff of 11 football in the Section of Cosenza).

The course is free and, once passed the final exam, the new arbitraries will immediately debut in the provincial youth championships. Registration is not binding and mainly serves to receive the invitation to the official presentation: a moment that will allow you to get to know the activity closely and clarify any doubts.
