Today, at around 16:15, the firefighters of the Crotone command intervened in via Amedeo Avogadro, in front of a former industrial area, for a fire of brushwood. Upon arrival on the spot, the flames, for the strong wind, had spread inside the fence of a waste disposal company and port enterprise, affecting some containers and lapsing construction site, trucks, cisterns, a roller compressor and some trailers.
Given the extent of the fire and the number of vehicles inside the fence, further operational staff and means for a total commitment of two tankers, two gallows, one self -contained, 2 wooded vehicles and the service official for a total of fifteen units was intervened.
During the shutdown operations there were three explosions, due to flammable gas cylinders, which occurred inside the container affected by the flames, one of these made the container wall yield. There are no injuries on the spot, a team is still operating for the reclamation and safety of the places.
