A few days ago the Italian railway network (FS Group) won the race for the construction of the new Santomarco Gallery, with two separate tunnels, on the Cosenza-Paola/San Lucido line, connecting Cosenza to the Tyrrhenian Salerno-Reggio Calabria line. Very interesting news for the whole of Calabria. It is useful to report what problems are solved and which remain open with the creation of the new gallery on the two traffic components: passengers and goods.
