Mimmo Lucano has appealed to the Courts of Appeal of Reggio Calabria and Catanzaro, asking to be reinserted on the list of Green-left alliance for the regional elections in Calabria of 5 and 6 October 2025. At the moment, as is known, the electoral commissions of the Courts of Reggio Calabria and Cosenza have in fact declared it incandidable, “depending on it” by the AVS lists.
To weigh on the decision was the application of the Severino law, taken following the sentence of 18 months of imprisonment – with suspended sentence – for false, issued in February at the end of the “Xenia” trial around the widespread reception model adopted to Riace for migrant people.
