A new assignment involved the building in via Galluppi yesterday afternoon, already in the center of the chronicles for the collapse that took place on 2 September. Around 4 pm, in fact, a wing of the building came down, after they sold some floors, burying under the mobile rubble, clothing, documents and the personal effects of the family who lived there.
The scene generated apprehension and fear among the residents of the area, which denounce an unsustainable situation. Others underline the risk for the surrounding homes, aggravated by the arrival of the first rains that could accelerate further sagging.
The area remains under seizure, as ordered by the authorities after the first collapse. Local police, firefighters and carabinieri intervened on the spot, committed to monitoring the situation and guaranteeing security.
