In view of the Serie C football meeting between Cosenza and Catania, scheduled for Sunday 14 September, at 15.00, at the San Vito-Marula stadium, the municipal police command issued an order with which the road network is regulated around the area affected by the sports event, so as to allow the influx and flow to the stadium and from the stadium, quickly and, therefore, without risk for public safety. With the ordinance of the Municipal Police, he complied with the request for specific regulation of road traffic on Viale Magna Grecia by the local police station. The provision was adopted in order to balance the needs of public order and safety and, at the same time, to guarantee the regular performance of the sports activity. In particular, the ordinance establishes, on Sunday 14 September, the ban on vehicular and pedestrian transit, from 13.00 to 19.00 and in any case up to ceased needs, on Viale Magna Grecia and on via G.Formoso, in the stretch between via Veterani dello Sport and viale Magna Grecia.
The Head of the Service, after hearing the manager for the public order of the Cosenza Police Headquarters, will be able to extend or modify the provisions contained in the ordinance on the basis of arrived and unpredictable needs of public order, safety, variation of traffic flows and other contingencies.
The Municipal Police Command recommends the following alternative courses:
-vehicles coming or directed to Castrolibero will be able to travel via degli Stadi;
-The vehicles directed to Rende will be able to travel via Panebianco;
-The pedestrians, to reach the stadium, will necessarily have to travel via degli Stadi.
