From Basic Hospital to DEA of 1. Level. It is the new classification of the “Baron Romeo” of Patti, mass on white in the document of the new hospital network which, shortly, will land on the tables of the Health Commission of the Sicilian Regional Assembly for the mandatory opinion, before returning to the Council for the definitive approval and finally being sent to the Ministry of Health for the final go -ahead.
The elevation of the hospital in via Mazzini to the first level emergency-accepting department (goddess) comes after years of battles against the feared weakening of the health facility and the downsizing of some of the most efficient operating units of the entire provincial health company of Messina.
