It was a week of tension in the prison of Gazzi for two attacks against penitentiary agents. To make the last two episodes known that last Monday involved prisoners and penitentiary agents of the Gazzi district house is the FP CGIL who returns to ask for immediate interventions so that episodes of this type can no longer be repeated.
The first aggression denounced through the general secretary Francesco Fucile and the provincial coordinator of the prison police Giovanni Spanò, occurred during the morning, in the courtyard walking of the cell department: a group of prisoners would have brutally attacked a prisoner of Egyptian origin. In an attempt to report calm and avoid worse consequences, a non -commissioned officer of the prison police intervened but, during the rescue operations, he was repeatedly affected, reporting several bruises. Another episode occurred in the afternoon: an agent of the prison police woman, as the union reconstructs – would have been attacked behind and punched by a prisoner of the high security circuit. It seems that a few days earlier the prisoner would threaten the agent. The union says that despite the repeated requests for transfer made by the management of the Institute, the Department of the Prison Administration would have rejected the requests.
Both policemen remained involved in the aggression episodes had to resort to the care of the emergency room. They were medicated, they reported bruises in various parts of the body, with a prognosis of 5 and 7 days respectively.
