Goals, errors and pride at the “Pinto”: Casertana ahead twice, Crotone never subdued. With ten men for over half an hour, the Sharks snatched a characterful 2-2 at the end of an intense match full of twists and turns. Casertana got off to a better start, taking the lead in the 12th minute with Saco, who did well to head a precise cross from Llano. Crotone reacts and in the 23rd minute the equalizer arrives: following a corner, Vinicius unloads a violent right-footed shot to make it 1-1. Casertana, however, is cynical and in the 31st minute they take the lead again with Girelli, who takes advantage of Kallon’s assist to make it 2-1. Before the break Veltri almost equalized with a header. In the second half the hosts came very close to 3-1, with Merelli decisive on Casarotto and Kallon incredibly wasting into an empty net. The key episode in the 9th minute: Gallo gets his second yellow card and leaves Crotone with ten men. Despite the numerical inferiority, the Sharks remained in the game and increased the pressure towards the end. At 36′ the turning point: Piovanello serves a perfect assist and Gomez, with a header, scores the 2-2. After six minutes of injury time it ended in a draw: a point of great character for a Crotone team that never stops fighting.
