The international tour of the book “Il Ghiegghio e il wolf” written by Salvatore Franco for Edizioni Beroe’s “Radici Arbëreshë” continues unabated.

After the BIT in Milan, the Sala degli Stemmi of the Palazzo della Provincia di Cosenza welcomed this latest publication with warm enthusiasm. The journalist Valerio Caparelli moderated the interventions of the publisher Renato Costa and the author, focusing attention on the need to enhance territorial and cultural identities also through an ancient instrument such as the book. Salvatore Franco himself, together with his wife Imma Camodeca and violinist Francesca Manoccio, performed pieces from the classic Arbëresh musical repertoire. This novel, whose editorial project was followed by the Association of Official Guides of the Pollino Park and the Study and Publications Center for the Arbëreshë of Tirana, obtained recognition from the Ministry of Culture through the General Directorate of Libraries and Cultural Institutes. «For Edizioni Beroe – declares Renato Costa – it is an immense satisfaction to be able to enhance the Arbëreshë culture by publishing novels by new authors. The recognition from the Ministry of Culture is a further reason for pride which comes close to the tenth year of activity and reflects the mission of this book which through a QR CODE also allows you to listen to some sentences in the original language, and could be a valid tool for schools that want to pass on the language to young local students. The Cosenza stop is symbolic because it represents both the roots of Salvatore di Firmo and the Association led by Andrea Vacchiano which takes care of and enhances the evocative landscapes of the Pollino. This tour promises to be international – concludes the publisher because it foresees the next meeting in Albania in Tirana, where on March 6th we will go to greet the Director of the QSPA Diana Kastrati who gave us a valuable preface»
