Lamezia, Doris Lo Moro’s attack on the budget: «Maneuver in a cast and without vision»

“What future” for the city, especially on the occasion of the 2026/28 budget forecast which is now close to reaching the council (there is no date yet) to be discussed and, one imagines, approved. It was discussed extensively at the meeting of the association “A city where living well” with Antonio Pandolfo, with the former secretary of the Lamezzo Democratic Party, Antonio Sirianni, and above all with Doris Lo Moro who expressed her firm points on the budget presented by the majority and, more generally, on the historical political moment of the city to the Gazzetta del Sud. «The budget is an opportunity to understand the strategic vision of the administration – begins Lo Moro – but the first obvious critical issue, on a political level, is that we have a council without councilors, if you remove the councilor for the budget and the councilor for public works… who makes the budget? The mayor? The offices? We immediately see that it is a very tight budget, also due to economic problems that we now know about.” Even Lo Moro, and with her the other interventions during the evening, therefore recalls the “Lamezia case” recently highlighted in the report to Parliament by the Court of Auditors on the economic state of municipal bodies.
