A few days ago Favelloni (a hamlet of Cessaniti in the province of Vibo Valentia) was transformed into an open-air film set. Filippo Nicolino chose this location to film the video clip of his latest single “BELLA STELLA miss your love for me”, recorded and mixed at UNREAL STUDIOS by Mimmo Meddis in Stefanaconi, which will be released on Friday 24 April and will be available for free on the official Filippo Nicolino YouTube channel.
In the video whose direction was entrusted to Stefania Reale and Vittorio Greco, also the band that accompanies him on his summer tours, with Tani Lo Schiavo on guitars, Salvatore Donato on bass, Valerio Colaci on drums, Filippo Acquaro and Nicole Campisi on keyboards, Paola Sartor on backing vocals and Antonino De Vita and Domenico Zangone on wind instruments. Filippo Nicolino is in fact mainly known for his musical project dedicated to Mango, the famous Lucanian singer-songwriter who passed away in 2014. Lead singer of “Raccontando Mango”, a musical show that is not limited to the simple performance of covers, but aims to pay homage to the soul and poetics of Mango, Filippo Nicolino began playing in the first groups in 1992, inspired by a meeting with Mango in 1989. His interpretation tries to respect the unique timbre and emotional strength of Mango’s repertoire. During his concerts he performs hits such as La Rondine, Oro, Amore per te, Bella D’estate.
In addition to his tribute activity, Filippo Nicolino shares his music through various social channels and video platforms: he is active on Facebook and YouTube under the name “Filippo Nicolino Official”. He published an album of songs, entitled DENTRO AL CUORE and songs such as MORIREI, SENSIBILE, DIETRO AL MARE. Now we are curious to listen to BELLA STELLA
