New traffic restrictions on the SS280 “Dei Due Mari”, in the stretch between Sarrottino and Tiriolo, in the province of Catanzaro. This was communicated by ANAS, as part of interventions linked to the laying of two underground lines along the coplanar road.
The works, carried out by the E-distribuzione company, concern the definitive restoration of the pavement in the section that connects the intersection with the SP 168/1 (at via Enrico Berlinguer) to the SS280 underpass, up to the entrance and exit ramps of the Sarrottino junction.
To allow the operations to be carried out safely, the road leading from the SP 168/1 to the Sarrottino roundabout, crossing the underpass, will be temporarily closed to traffic. The provision will be in force on 28 and 29 April, from 9:00 to 13:00, and in any case for the time strictly necessary to complete the interventions.
Alternative road system
During the closure, alternative routes were set up:
Those coming from via Berlinguer and need to get onto the SS280 will have to travel about 2 km on the SP 168/1 until the Settingiano junction, from which it will be possible to continue in all directions.
For vehicles leaving Sarrottino, it will be necessary to use the coplanar SS280 towards Catanzaro, with the possibility of accessing the state road at the Caraffa di Catanzaro junction, towards Catanzaro–Lamezia Terme.
The town of Sarrottino, for those arriving from Catanzaro, will remain reachable via the Caraffa di Catanzaro junction.
ANAS also specifies that the exit ramps of the SS280 at the Sarrottino junction will remain regularly open to traffic in both directions.
