Having archived the long experimental phase, Palazzo dell’Aquila aims to stabilize the maritime connections between Patti and the Aeolian Islands with a three-year assignment and the possibility of finally also activating the night service.
The exploratory notice scheme for the expression of interest is now public and concerns the assignment of 4 temporary mooring places intended for pleasure craft for tourist-commercial use for the direct connection with the Aeolian archipelago from the pier overlooking Piazzale Alioto, with further faculty to organize mini coastal cruises in the three-year period 2026-28.
There are two main innovations: the overcoming of the experimental and therefore annual formula, and the possibility of using the landing place even at night, made possible by the provisions on maritime signaling referred to in the new specifications endorsed by the Port Authority of Milazzo.
