Former Rossano fire station: Uva puts the Province to the test

A strategic plan to remove a historic building from decay and, at the same time, strengthen security in the area. The proposal formally asking President Biagio Antonio Faragalli to release the funds necessary for the recovery of the former Rossano fire station was registered with the Province by Councilor Antonio Uva.

The aim is to renovate the building, abandoned since 2008, and transform it into the new headquarters of the Rossano Carabinieri station. The former barracks has been in a state of total abandonment for almost twenty years. A situation that not only damages public property, but creates severe inconvenience for the residents of the area, who have repeatedly reported the presence of critical issues and requested the intervention of the police in the affected area due to the continuous incursions inside the building.
