A triumph that knows no boundaries between one neighborhood and another, between a “favorable” area of the city and one that, perhaps, could have been considered more hostile. Federico Basile won in 248 sections out of 253, giving way, therefore, in only 5 sections, although one of these is 253, the “special” one of the Ganzirri Orthopedic hospital, where Marcello Scurria won 5 to 1. No statistical significance, therefore.
Let’s first analyze which are the “white flies” sections in which, however, Marcello Scurria won (Antonella Russo didn’t take home even one). In section 61, Ferraù school in Villaggio Aldisio, Scurria surpassed Basile by 207 votes against 161, similar situation in section 88, Gentiluomo school in Camaro Superiore: Scurria 172 votes, Basile 169 (but with 25 votes more than his lists). Another section in which Scurria proves to be stronger even than the separate vote is 232, in San Filippo Superiore: the centre-right candidate wins 203 votes against Basile’s 183, but the latter obtains 43 more than the lists, the former loses 46. Then Cumia’s section 245, where Scurria leads Basile by 29 votes: 85 for the former, 56 for the latter.
