The Messina Review Court annulled in full the preventive seizure decree issued against the owner of a company based in Reitano (in the province of Messina) which had received a contribution of approximately 83,500 euros as part of the PNRR – Mission 2 «Green Revolution and Ecological Transition», relating to a project for the installation of a photovoltaic system. The original provision had ordered the seizure of liquidity and real estate at the disposal of the suspect, up to the amount that according to the investigators corresponded to the profit of the contested crime of undue receipt of public funds. The seizure was part of a proceeding initiated following investigations carried out by the Financial Police and coordinated by the Patti Prosecutor’s Office in relation to the actual exercise of the agricultural activity linked to the agritourism structure. The Messina Review Court ordered the release and restitution of all assets, accepting the defense argument of lawyers Francesco Cutraro and Antonio Di Francesco.
