It’s sunny, which is already a declaration of intent here. A sun that dresses Calabria in light making it immense in its projections. And there is the sea, a sea which, coloring itself blue, becomes the bold and frugal thought, the generosity of Creation. Over the years, this land has become a natural infrastructure, a primary attractor, a widespread hub of an economy that lives on seasons and expectations. The estimates of the Sdi Study and Training Center of Confcommercio promise a record summer with 9.5 million presences (total overnight stays in the regional territory). Moreover, the first quarter of the year has already recorded a +4.2% in arrivals and a +7.5% in presences, confirming a growth dynamic supported by international tourism and a progressive deseasonalisation. «The data from this first part of 2026 confirms the capacity for resilience and growth of our entrepreneurial fabric», explains Maria Santagada, director of Confcommercio Calabria. But his is a speech that does not indulge in enthusiasm.
