Another hard attack in Aprigliano by the minority group “Together you can”, which intervenes in the competition procedure for the hiring of a traffic policeman. In a note, the councilors maintain that “due to the administrative incompetence of the Porco Administration and the critical issues raised by our minority councillors, absolutely everything is happening in the competitive procedure to hire a traffic policeman”.
Disputes about the insolvency procedure
According to the opposition group, «following the request made by the minority, the decision to replace the illegitimately appointed commissioner was issued and subsequently, again thanks to the solicitation of the Insieme Si Pu group, this morning, just 24 hours after the written test, the majority proceeded to make it public with considerable delay on the institutional portal in the Transparent Administration, notices and competitions section». A circumstance that is defined in the note as “a lack of transparency that is worrying and disarming at the same time”.
The minority councilors add that «once again “haste” has prevailed over common sense and above all over the law». In their opinion, «a few hours after the start of the written test the report of the commission with the replaced member is still missing, therefore this “substitution” has not fully materialized».
Muto and De Paoli confirm that they will maintain high attention on the procedure, considering it of particular importance for the institution.
Criticisms about hiring and staffing
In the same note the group also intervenes on the personnel policies adopted by the municipal administration. According to the councilors, «contrary to what Mayor Porco boasts of having implemented 12 hires, in which however he also includes the 7 Tis who will be hired thanks to the decisive intervention of the Calabria Region, as well as the Cap-Coe figure paid entirely by the Ministry, the Municipality of Aprigliano appears to be very deficient and far below the real needs».
The minority also claims that «in the management of Porco we have witnessed a lack of foresight regarding personnel policies». In particular, it is recalled that, in October 2024, a full-time administrative service employee who moved to another Municipality would have been replaced “with one working 12 hours and moreover with an override”.
The Pnrr competition procedure of December 2023 is then recalled for the hiring of two administrative profiles. According to the opposition group, «mayor Porco and the administrative manager at the time Rende (current prime minister) were unable to conclude the Pnrr competition procedure for the hiring of two administrative profiles, complete with the return of economic resources, after having carried out the entire competition and drawn up the rankings, creating serious damage to the institution».
The note concludes with a new reminder of the need to guarantee correctness and transparency in the ongoing procedure. «Especially in consideration of the failure of the previous competition, this procedure deserves maximum transparency and legitimacy of the administrative acts so as to be completed in the best possible way and not as unfortunately widely expected with the name of the winner having been circulating throughout the entire community for some time. Aprigliano cannot afford another bankruptcy failure and the 112 participants deserve to all have the same chances.”
