A new tender for innovation in agriculture and in particular for the purchase of technology 4.0 machinery, hardware, robots and drones for use in the agricultural field has been published by the Department of Agriculture, internal areas and territorial connection policies as part of agricultural productive investments for the competitiveness of agricultural companies in the context of the CAP Strategic Plan, Program Complement for Calabria Rural Development 2023 – 2027.
“Calabrian agriculture is called today to take up a decisive challenge: to innovate to be more competitive, sustainable and capable of dealing with market and climate changes – declares Agriculture Councilor Gianluca Gallo -. With this call we want to concretely accompany agricultural companies on a modernization path that passes through the adoption of the most advanced technologies, from precision agriculture systems to drones, from robotics to digital devices for crop management”.
The notice invests in the improvement of company equipment, in the reduction and sustainable management of production residues, as well as in the introduction of technical and managerial innovation of production processes through investments in digital technology. The financial envelope of the tender is equal to 25 million euros with maximum amounts of eligible expenditure ranging from 100 thousand up to 500 thousand euros based on the standard gross production of the agricultural company.
The eligible expenses of the tender include the purchase of new machinery and equipment for carrying out agricultural activities, equipment for reducing environmental impact (technology 4.0), the purchase of hardware for managing the machines, devices and equipment for the management of agricultural processes such as satellite management systems and the purchase of digital equipment such as robots for harvesting operations, drones, weather stations and similar.
The grant, in capital account, provides a percentage equal to 65% of the investments. It will be possible to submit the application from 1 to July and until 5.00 pm on 30 September 2026, via the regional platform:
