The average age of pensioners is growing. Overall, it goes from 61.7 years in 2012 to 64.7 years in 2025. The increase is particularly evident for old-age pensions, whose average age is stable around 67 years starting from 2020.
Early pensions, more irregular trend
Early pensions, on the other hand, follow a more irregular dynamic: after the maximum observed in 2020, equal to 62.1 years, the average age stands at 61.7 years in 2025, being more affected by outgoing flexibility channels.
