A reflection on the future of the Siderno seafront and on the deeper meaning of urban regeneration.
This is what emerged from the comparison between the architect Loredana Musolino, Antonella Avellis (both from the “Moderate Area”) and Ercole Macrì of the Siderno “Blu Sbarre” Association.
According to the latter, whose reflection focuses on the coast facing the Sbarre district, «the seafront cannot be the result of isolated interventions or works without an overall vision. It needs a project capable of looking to the future and based on urban quality, sustainability, landscape and community participation – they underline – Siderno deserves a serious, competent and open discussion, capable of involving citizens, professionals, associations and institutions in the construction of a shared vision of its waterfront”.
