Reggina, everything is ready to remove the veil

Will this be Claudio Lotito’s week in Reggio Calabria? The chances seem high, although it may be necessary to wait a few more days. The fans are waiting.
The arrival of the senator on the Strait is equivalent to the moment in which the veil will be removed from the new Reggina. At the moment it is a hypothesized creature. Lotito-branded Reggina, awaiting the desired results, has undoubtedly raised its brand to a national level, after years of anonymity dictated by the inability to win an amateur championship. The name of the man who is also the president of Lazio has also become the pro tempore explanation of all those doubts and uncertainties that physiologically nestle around the future amaranth.
By July 13th, Reggina has not yet formalized an organization chart or a retreat location, it is almost without a team and the name of the coach is also missing. If the club had another owner today the alarms would ring very loudly. This isn’t exactly the case because several things have already been done: from the first organizational inspections to the choice of sporting director (Romairone) and coach (Marchionni), but the absence of announcements is newsworthy, which perhaps in other times would have fueled more tangible discontent.
There is that air of tranquility that comes from the knowledge that you have ended up in safe hands. If you add the history gained in football and the potential of those who have arrived, Reggina has never had a buyer with the same level of initial credentials.
So much so that the only big doubt concerns what will become of the Strait club if promotion to Serie C is achieved. With the current rules there would be no possibility of having two owned clubs (even for relatives up to the fourth degree).
If, however, it seems that Lotito (precisely because his name is the explanation for everything today) has decided to invest almost five million euros to bring Reggina (between purchase and budget) it seems difficult to do so without having a long-term plan.
Words and expressions such as “planning” and “future that lives up to the club’s ambitions” suggest perspective and it is believed it is no coincidence that they have appeared in the only statement released so far after the one of the signatures at the end of June.
Where the name “Lotito” was not sufficient as an explanation and guarantee, that of the mayor Francesco Cannizzaro takes over. Reggina already had another potential buyer, putting a metaphorical stamp recognized by all on a different solution is equivalent to taking on a responsibility most likely dictated by long-term evaluations.
In many respects this will be the week in which we will have to move from perceived guarantees to facts. The conditions seem to be there. At any moment the date of that famous press conference in which the answers to the most urgent questions will be available could be made official.
If we consider that last year Reggina met on 22 July, we also understand that the next few days will really be the ones in which we will have to speed up to get to the training camp with a team that is as close as possible to the squad that will have to go in search of promotion.
