“The municipal council will not change.” And then: «The “Vannacciani” will never be part of this administration». This is confirmed with conviction by the mayor of Crotone, Vincenzo Voce, who the day after the decision of two majority municipal councilors, Vincenzo Familiari and Saverio Flotta, to join the National Future party founded by General Roberto Vannacci, continues to keep the bar straight.
Although the shock that hit the city executive a few weeks after his inauguration was felt. Since the decision of Familiari, elected with the “Crescere” civic list, a direct expression of Voce, and Flotta, who landed in the chamber with Fratelli d’Italia, is outside the national (and regional) center-right scheme. In fact, Futuro Nazionale stands in clear contrast to the political forces headed by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. For this reason, the entry of the general’s movement into the Council inevitably created some headaches in the Palazzo in Piazza della Resistenza. Hence Voce’s stance to take stock of the situation “with his people” to understand what to do. How? “I will soon see the majority councilors and we will see how to decide”, the mayor underlined yesterday. The objective is to arrive at a “majority verification”.
