Serie A, 25 million 600 thousand fans in Italy
The supporter population confirms its transversal nature: men (55%) and women (45%) share the passion more and more equally, a sign of a football that tends to overcome gender boundaries. The average age is adulthood with an epicenter between 35 and 54 years (47%), but in which young people under 24 remain a solid presence (16%). Geographically the distribution follows that of the Italian population. The South and the Islands lead the ranking with 39% of fans followed by the North West (26%). In the southern regions the heart club remains a sign of identity and belonging.
The most supported teams: Juventus first, then Inter and Milan
The Top 5 of the most supported teams is stable. Juventus maintains first position in the standings with 7,741,000 fans, despite a downward trend for the second consecutive year (-1.6% compared to 2024/25) due to the results. Inter are confirmed in second place as Italian champions (4,275,000), up by +2.3% compared to 2025. The two championships won in the last three seasons, the victory of the Italian Cup in 2026 and the European paths allow the Nerazzurri to establish themselves for the fourth consecutive year ahead of their “cousins” Milan (3,976,000) who, however, recorded a +4.2% in a year of growth on the field despite the Champions League having escaped on the last day. Completing the Top 5 are Napoli (3,079,000), increasing for the second consecutive year (+1.4%) and Roma (1,790,000), which precedes Fiorentina (655,000), sixth, down by -6.6% after a difficult year.
