We will arrive at the 2027 administrative elections in Castelmola without a city council. The chamber has in fact rejected the 2025-2027 budget, despite the warning from the ad acta commissioner Giovanni Cocco to proceed by 20 August, and now it will be the regional official who will act, as a substitute, triggering the sanctioning procedure which provides for the dissolution of the Council. The resolution did not receive even one favorable vote: the four majority councilors Giorgio Gullotta, Daniele Brunetto, Giuseppe Cundari and Angelo Curcuruto abstained, the president Patrizia Pizzolo and the minority group leader Angelo D’Agostino voted against, while the minority representatives Massimiliano Pizzolo and Giorgia D’Agostino and the independent Giuseppe Biondo left the room before the vote; the majority councilor Lisa D’Agostino was absent.
