In view of the reopening of the “Celeste” stadium, Assostampa and Ussi met with the municipal administration of Messina to define the working conditions of journalists during official matches.
During the discussion, the sports councilor Stello Vadalà, the president of Assostampa Sergio Magazzù, the president of Ussi Marco Capuano and the vice-president Pietro Di Paola shared the need to create a new press gallery. A subsequent inspection, in the presence of the maintenance councilor Massimo Finocchiaro and the municipal technician, engineer Franco Mento, allowed the definitive solution to be identified.
The approximately 30 positions for journalists will be placed in the two rows of seats under the raised platform intended for television filming, guaranteeing a complete view of the pitch and avoiding problems linked to the roofing poles. According to the Municipality’s forecasts, the works will be completed within 60 days.
