The maintenance of the battered city streets was one of the hottest topics of the spring electoral campaign. One of those topics for which citizens are indignant and, rightly, demand. Almost simultaneously with the pre-election period, the announcements of two large loans arrived to make up for a rather general situation in the city which the heavy rains of last winter made unsustainable.
