«When the shooting started I was backstage in the grandstand, near the DJ station. I hid with friends and other people. We took cover. I tried to help Maria, the young woman who died. I gave her cardiac massage and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, but without success.” So a boy told Tg1 how he tried to rescue Maria Spinelli, the 22-year-old of Abruzzo origins who was killed in the shooting at the rave party in Switzerland.
«At first we heard four shots fired nearby, somewhere close to us. Then, when we were trying to take cover, we heard more, I don’t know how many: there were between 15 and 30 shots, which were also fired at us. A lot of screaming, a lot of panic, people crying and hurt,” the young man said.
After trying to help Maria Spinelli, «I tried to calm other people and help them take shelter. Unfortunately we were unable to see the attackers. They were outside the area, they shot from outside, while we tried to take cover by hiding behind furniture, in refrigerators. We couldn’t see them.”
