Messina is preparing to welcome one of the absolute protagonists in the history of Italian music. Antonello Venditti will be at PalaRescifina in Messina on 22 May 2027, as part of the new tour of sports halls “In this world the most human beings are animals”.
Ticket presale will be open from 2.00 pm tomorrow, Wednesday 9 September, on TicketOne and in the usual sales points.
“Welcoming Antonello Venditti to Messina is a source of satisfaction and represents further confirmation of the path that the Administration has been pursuing for some time to increasingly consolidate the city’s role in the circuit of major events. Appointment after appointment, this work finds new and important confirmation in the presence in Messina of leading artists, capable of attracting audiences from all over Sicily and even from outside the region. The choice of Messina for such an important stage of Venditti’s tour testifies to the growing ability of our city to present itself as a reference place for great music and attractive events, with positive impacts on tourism, economics and the promotion of the territory”, declares the mayor Federico Basile.
“An event of this magnitude is also the result of work that this Administration has been carrying out continuously for some time on the organisation, logistics, mobility and flow management fronts”, adds the councilor for Major Events Massimo Finocchiaro. “Hosting large events means putting in place a complex organizational machine, which requires planning and coordination between all the subjects involved. Our objective is to continue to consolidate this capacity, making Messina increasingly ready to host national and international events and guaranteeing the public a positive and safe experience, inside and outside the entertainment spaces. In this process, the PalaRescifina represents a strategic structure, which we are increasingly enhancing as a multifunctional space at the service of the city, capable of hosting large sporting events and important entertainment events”.
The possibility of hosting an artist of the caliber of Antonello Venditti confirms the multifunctional vocation of the facility and its strategic role within the city’s offering. The PalaRescifina in fact represents an important infrastructure for Messina, capable of hosting sporting events, concerts and large public events, contributing to strengthening the city’s ability to present itself as a venue for events of regional, national and international importance. Venditti’s concert will be organized by Puntoeacapo Srl, in collaboration with Il Botteghino and the Municipality of Messina.
The new tour represents Venditti’s great return to the most important Italian sports halls, two years after the previous tour. The departure is set with a special preview on 8 March 2027, the artist’s birthday, at the Palazzo dello Sport in Rome, while the journey through Italy will end in Sicily, with the long-awaited appointment in Messina. The city of the Strait is therefore preparing to experience a new great evening of music, entrusted to the voice and songs of an artist who has spanned generations, becoming an integral part of the collective memory of the country. “In this world the most human beings are animals” will be a new opportunity for the public to be moved by the notes of an extraordinary repertoire.
