The “revolution” in provincial public health comes from a detailed plan designed by Vitaliano de Salazar. The manager at the helm of the largest ASP in the region wasted no time giving substance and substance to the assistance and services that were announced for a long time and never became a palpable reality.
The bet is high but not risky and involves twenty-six community houses that will open their doors in: Cassano, Mormanno, Scalea, Rocca Imperiale, Torano Castello, Roggiano Gravina, Longobucco, Lungro, Luzzi, Bisignano, Spezzano della Sila, Montalto Uffugo, San Giorgio Albanese, Verbicaro, Amantea, Villapiana, Casali del Manco, Cosenza, Cetraro, Cariati, Acri, Corigliano, Rende, Altilia and Castrovillari.
Nine community hospitals will also be activated in Cassano, Mormanno, Scalea, Lungro, San Marco Argentano, Cosenza, Trebisacce, Cariati and San Giovanni in Fiore.
The objective of the intervention plan is to decongest hospitals (see Annunziata) and offer patients a more timely and effective “taking charge”.
