The Police have arrested five people held responsible for a multi-aggravated robbery against a jewelery shop in Rizziconi, which took place on the morning of 27 June. The robbery had been planned in detail by three men: two of them, with distorted faces and armed with pistols, broke into the shop, stealing gold and silver jewelery worth thousands of euros and three firearms legally held by the owner.. The criminals then fled in a stolen car, causing an accident due to the high speed.
The investigations made it possible to trace the robbers inside a building in Taurianova. During the police raid, the subjects attempted to flee, but one of them, the only one to act with his face uncovered, was immediately blocked. Part of the stolen goods already divided into envelopes was found in the basement. Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of the other accomplices, for a total of five suspects. At the outcome of the validation hearing, precautionary custody in prison was ordered for all, while the recovered stolen goods were returned to the owner.
