«Today the Hon. Fratoianni publicly denounced the episode of an FdI post relaunched by the institutional account of the Crotone Police Headquarters, on which a parliamentary question will be presented to the Minister of the Interior. Now we have been informed that the post in question has been deleted from the account of the local Police Headquarters.” It is the Avs press office that reports this in the note which continues by saying: «Good as it is, evidently the error of a questionable choice due to its propaganda nature has been recognised».
Fratoianni had observed that “only a few days have passed since the good idea of someone at the Turin Police Headquarters to grant training credits to the staff who participated in a conference of the MEP Vannacci, an initiative withdrawn after our protests, and here we are informed that someone at the Crotone Police Headquarters had another good idea: on the Facebook page of the Police Headquarters, an institutional page, a post by the young people of FdI appears”.
“Perhaps it is better to repeat one thing – added the red-green leader – the state apparatus, the institutions, belong to all citizens and solidarity with the police when there are injuries during their institutional activity, as happened in the Calabrian city, is certainly not in question but the political propaganda, please, be left to others, who are already doing a lot of it”.
“In any case, we will present a question in Parliament to the Minister of the Interior about this episode too – Fratoianni anticipated – with the hope that the Interior Ministry will intervene immediately to block similar initiatives.”
Donzelli’s reply
The organization manager of FdI, Giovanni Donzelli, replies to Avs, speaking in Locri during an electoral event in view of the by-elections: «Solidarity with the police forces of Crotone. I consider Fratoianni’s controversy over the fact that the Police Headquarters re-shared a National Youth post to be incredible, as well as useless. All he had to do was look up to see that the Democratic Party’s post was also reposted there. The Police Headquarters has reposted all the solidarity received.”
