Great public participation last night, in the outdoor spaces of the Marino Institute of Mortelle, for the presentation of STRETTO OFF creative currents, the new cultural project born from the collaboration between Mauro Failla and Giusi Arimatea. An evening different from the usual presentation format, designed to tell not only the project, but above all the cultural vision from which it was born. The evening opened with a theatrical moment dedicated to Rino Gaetano, with Mauro Failla interpreting an original piece written by Giusi Arimatea.
A significant choice, that of the singer-songwriter from Crotone, capable of keeping together irony and denunciation, music and theatre, lightness and civil commitment. His history and his music have thus become the starting point for reflecting on the sense of contamination between languages and on the possibility of an art capable of questioning its own time without giving up lightness.
The evening continued with a three-way talk between the founders of STRETTO OFF and the godmother of the event, Daniela Conti. An informal and authentic conversation which, starting from the first projects and a show already in the pipeline, touched on the themes that are at the origin of the initiative: the desire to create spaces in which artists can meet, ideas grow and different disciplines dialogue. Theatre, cinema, music, literature, dance, visual arts and training will in fact be the territories in which STRETTO OFF intends to develop activities, shows, workshops, meetings and interdisciplinary projects.
We therefore intend to create a place of possibility, open to research, experimentation and relationships. Not a simple container of events, but a cultural project that sets people, languages and ideas in motion. The large and participatory audience welcomed the debut of STRETTO OFF creative currents with great enthusiasm. The evening ended with a convivial moment, accompanied by the notes and voice of Gesuè Pagano, which prolonged the meeting spirit of the event.
