Games, music and moments of sharing between children with disabilities and their peers. The cycle of “Special Sundays”, promoted by the Disabled Defense Movement and dedicated to meeting and inclusion, ended in Cosenza.
The events recorded constant participation from morning until evening, involving families, friends and citizens, who became closer to the activities and values of the association.
The president of the Disabled Defense Movement, Gianfranco Cristiano, outlined a positive assessment of the experience and thanked those who contributed to the realization of the project. Particular thanks were addressed to the president of the Insieme Odv association, Antonio Chiappetta, to the “Eva 2011” cooperative, to the Ecology councilor of the Municipality of Cosenza Valentina Varchera and to the mayor Franz Caruso for the support and closeness shown.
The contribution of the volunteers, involved in welcoming children and young people, is central. Their availability and attention earned the appreciation of parents, grandparents and older children, active protagonists of the days.
The last appointment, last Sunday, ended with a collective party. Once the games ended at 7.30pm, the square left space for music and group dances, which involved parents and groups of young people until 10.10pm.
