A disappointing Juve also leaves two points on the way to the Unipol Domus. Pisacane’s Cagliari continues its dream start to the championship, holding Spalletti’s boys to a 1-1 draw. Kolo Muani responded to Maldini’s goal during the first half towards the end of the match. Convincing start from the visiting team who, however, failed to capitalize on the various opportunities created. After attempts by Sarr and Conceicao, in the 15th minute Nico Gonzalez came close to taking the lead: the Argentinian, however, was unable to direct McKennie’s cross from the right towards the goal with his thigh. The Bianconeri seem in control, but Cagliari cynically strikes with the first real attack of their evening. After a first rebounded shot, in the 20th minute Maldini receives the ball again from Mendy, wedges himself into the opponent’s area and scores the 1-0 in front of Vicario. Juve tried to react to the immediate slap, but in the 32nd minute the Sardinians were still flirting with the goal: Winks’ powerful shot from distance was providentially raised over the crossbar by Vicario. Ready to go and in the second half Spalletti immediately plays his cards Zhegrova and Alajbegovic in place of McKennie and Conceicao while in the 60th minute there will also be room for Woltemade to enter the field.
Among the Juventus substitutes, the most lively is undoubtedly Zhegrova. The Kosovar talent systematically manages to skip the man on the right flank, also forcing Caprile to dirty his gloves on two occasions. The home team’s wall held up until the 81st minute, when Kolo Muani headed Alajbegovic’s kiss in the penalty area to make it 1-1. The rediscovered goal shakes the French attacker who in the 85th minute, following a photocopy of the equalizer, hits the crossbar from two steps and on the rebound, Woltemade lacks malice and favors Caprile’s take. In the 89th minute the Cagliari goalkeeper was once again decisive, blocking Kolo Muani. The final draw logically satisfies Cagliari who thus rises to fourth place in the standings, with thirteen points. Two points less, however, for Juve, stuck in sixth position. After the final whistle, there was high tension on the pitch, with both Spalletti and Pisacane sent off.
