A wait that lasted many years. Endless work, a construction site that seemed to never end amidst blockages, bureaucratic obstacles and endless waits for citizens. This morning at dawn, Reggio finally inaugurated its bridge over the Calopinace, a work that acts as a link between the Waterfront in the northern area of the city, the most beautiful seafront in Italy and the southern linear park. Mayor Francesco Cannizzaro cut the ribbon early this morning together with many people from Reggio who arrived on site when it was still dark. Together with the mayor, many children and students responded to his appeal. “I really didn’t expect this warmth and presence. Today we inaugurate the future and we do it together.” The mayor cut the ribbon together with Eduardo, an 8 year old boy who arrived at 5.30 and the many young people present.
